First Step is a fully accredited, top-rated childcare program located in the Prospect Park neighborhood of Minneapolis . It provides a nurturing and creative learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years . The three classrooms; infant (6 weeks-16 months), toddler (16- 33 months), and preschool (33 months-first day of kindergarten) are led by certified early childhood educators.

Education Philosophy
First Step uses Creative Curriculum® , designed to provide a well-rounded experience and ensure children become confident, happy, and fully prepared to start Kindergarten. We incorporate enrichment activities such as music, yoga, foreign language, and field trips in addition to math, literacy, social emotional learning, and science and technology . Teachers assess children’s development through the Ages and Stages Questionnaire and provide feedback to caregivers in semi-annual conferences.
